Current Situation and Projection

The amount of food we distribute has been increasing noticeably during the 8 years since we began. Likewise, so has the population we assist, that is to say, the amount of people receiving our food, which has reached over 78,000 people.

If we analyze the situation based on needs and taking into account conservative growth rates, we estimate that the total input of foodstuffs in the next few years will be more than 50% above what the value is today. And at the same time, the physical storage space must also increase on the same scale.

The current capacity of our warehouse is of approximately 300 pallets. And in order to be able to distribute the 240,000 Kilos of food per month, we need additional storage space, which means resorting to external warehouses and translates into an increase in operative costs.

Considering the growth we expect to see, it will be necessary to have space enough for about 600 pallets, which means about 500,000 Kilos of food a month, which will enable us to reach 650 organizations and feeding centers which will feed over 130,000 people.

New Warehouse

Using the data on expected growth, and with the help of a consultant that specializes in these issues, we estimate that we will need 3,500 square meters to be able to carry out these operations adequately.

The new warehouse is located on a piece of land donated in the district of Benavídez and will be built in two stages in order to satisfy growth demands.
