Our quality policy consists in helping people who are afflicted by hunger through donors and through organizations and feeding centres by:
-Team-work: Working in teams and providing ongoing training for people who work at the Food Bank serving the mission.
-Donors: Meeting donor requirements
-Processes: Ongoing improvement of processes established according to ISO 9001:2000 Quality Standard.
Our Goals
- Ongoing and sustained increase in volume of donations in money, services and merchandise.
- Achieving balanced food donations containing dairy products; fruit; vegetables; cereals; meat; fats and oils.
- Systematic verification of organizations and feeding centers’ performance through a follow-up procedure.
- Correct and timely delivery management of donations according to organizations and feeding centers’ needs as well as to donor requirements.
- Correct and timely management of donations. Efficient inventory and classification of merchandise management.
- To enhance the management of merchandise offered to organizations and feeding centres, according to stock availability and the needs of each organization.
- Efficient management of contributions by organizations and feeding centres for each Kilo of food they receive.
- Facilities and equipment in normal working order and well preserved.
- Development of suppliers of competitive services.
- Efficient warehouse operations using Best Manufacturing Practices (BMP) as a guideline, if applicable.
- Ongoing and sustained input of volunteers fit for the work and with the adequate competences that the work requires.
- Ongoing training of paid staff and volunteers, established in the training plan, seeking their permanence within the Fundación.
- Systematic verification of established QMS implementation.
- Effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions for compliance with QMS requirements.
- Establishing and maintaining a two-way communication with each of the Fundación’s target publics, and projection of corporate image and identity through communication techniques and tools.
